This stimulating trek to the base camp of Annapurna goes through waterfalls, villages of The Gurung and Poon community with their beautiful culture and traditions, farmlands, rhododendron forests, and mountain vistas. Easy walking and magnificent scenery combined with the variety of cultures make Annapurna Base Camp, commonly known as Annapurna Sanctuary, one of the most popular Treks in Nepal. As you go deep into the Annapurna Himal, you are enjoying mountain scenery, thick bamboo, and rhododendron forests and a mix of cultures unparalleled by other treks. The Annapurna Base Camp falls north of Pokhara, a high glacial basin. This is a magnificent amphitheatre, deemed as a "sanctuary" because of natural serenity, beauty, and divine presence of the Hindu goddesses Annapurna and Gangapurna. This isolated cirque of peaks can be approached from only one route-a deep gorge which carves into the fortress of mountains between Machhapuchhre and Hiunchuli. The many peaks are above 7000m, including the famous twin-peaked Machhapuchhre, as well as Annapurna I and III, Annapurna South, Gangapurna, and Glacier Dome.

My husband and I had an unforgettable experience with Adventure Pilgrims Trekking PVT Ltd during our 6-day trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Our guide, Krishna Panta, was exceptional. Not only was he incredibly friendly and personable, but he also became a true friend by the end of our journey. Krishna Panta, along with our equally kind porter, ensured our trek was comfortable and tailored to our needs and desires.

The management and paperwork from Mr. Govinda Panta for the trip were handled seamlessly, allowing us to focus entirely on the adventure. Throughout the trek, Krishna Panta shared his extensive knowledge about the Himalayan mountains, local traditions, spiritual rituals, and Nepalese cuisine, enriching our experience profoundly.

He had a very nice tour to Kathmandu too during our last days, which added to the overall enjoyment of our trip.

I wholeheartedly recommend Adventure Pilgrims Trekking PVT Ltd to anyone seeking an immersive holiday in Nepal. They organize the trip with an itinerary and the best suggestions, providing truthful and insightful ideas. Their professionalism, warmth, and expertise made our trip truly special and memorable.

A Memorable Treks with Adventure Pilgrims trekking- Himal Panta

James Hill | Coralville,USA

Rating: 5

Oct 2022
“One trek is never the same as others,” noted Govinda Panta, the director of Adventure Pilgrims Trekking, as we talked—or perhaps it was Himal, my guide, who said it. Whatever the source, this comment on the unique quality of every trek to Annapurna Base Camp was borne out in the next few days, as I was reminded of it time and again when thinking, “This is new. This is unplanned.” Scary, thrilling, wonderful, and new. And I was lucky to be in the care of trekking experts who knew exactly what to do to guide us through that newness, the twists and turns, whether it required a long march in the dark to the next teahouse or quick improvisation and adjustment after discovering that a landslide had taken out a section of trail.

Adventure Pilgrims Trekking was all I could ask for in a trekking agency, more than living up to its glowing reputation for client satisfaction. From the pickup at the airport in Kathmandu, through the multiple details of permits, accommodations, meals, etc., to the final sendoff at journey’s end, Govinda and his team provided me with first-rate service.

I had arrived in in Nepal during Dasain, the country’s largest festival and a time when bus transport to the trailhead near Pokhara was not possible. Improvising just as he would in the mountains, Govinda hired a 4-wheel-drive vehicle to take us to his family’s home in Gorkha, where I was graciously welcomed and then driven on to Pokhara the next day. Once on the trek, Himal and DP, our porter, were cheerful and attentive, calmly negotiating potential obstacles while giving me the benefit of their deep expertise in the art of mountain trekking. At last we stood in the amphitheater at Annapurna Sanctuary, gazing up at the massed peaks around us. And the next morning, when I stepped out on the terrace at our Machhapuchhare teahouse and looked up at the big shining face of the wide Annapurna massif, I had the same feeling. Unforgettable.

With a few days to fill at the end of my stay in Nepal, I was given a personal tour of Kathmandu by Himal—all of it gratis—which put a nice finish on this very satisfying trip.

We were on the ABC trek with Adventure Pilgrims in November 2017: great experience, one of the best holidays ever, already planning to come back next time to do the Everest BC with them.
We would like to highlight great organisational skills from our host at Adventure Pilgrim - Govinda Panta.
Govinda, his business partner - Krishna, our guide - Parshu and our porter - Mama - took care of all the logistics, and have done an excellent preparation for us before the trek and took care of us since the moment we arrived to Kathmandu and till our very last day.
Our guide was Parshu Panta - the best guide you can dream of ! Parshu took care of literally everything,- so we could enjoy the stunning mountain views. Everything has been tailored to our needs. We did not have that much time so the itinerary has been customised to us, and Parshu was constantly listening to our suggestions and modified it accordingly on our way to ABC and back. To add to that, he speaks a good English and knows a good deal about different ethnicities in Nepal, traditions, plants, trees and can name all the Himalayan peaks around! Also, he is an excellent cook. Parshu and our porter Mama will remain our friends forever, and we will definitely go with them next time to EBC or any other trek in Nepal.
Since the very beginning of our correspondence with Adventure Pilgrims' MD Govinda, 6 months before the trek, we had a perfect clarity on the pricing and margins. The communication was great, and it was Govinda' s quick response time which made us decide in favour of this company while some other agencies we contacted took their time to respond and or did not respond with the details we required.
An important detail for a western traveller: all Govinda's stuff is well trained to do everything on time (which is rare in Nepal) - they always meet you at agreed place precisely at agreed time. There was no waiting time.
As a woman, I appreciated the courtesy and a knowledge of western standard etiquette demonstrated by Govinda and Parshu towards myself (it is also quite rare in Asia).
To summarise, I highly recommend Adventure Pilgrims to all my friends and TripAdvisor followers.

We spent 7 amazing days trekking around the ABC circuit, guided by Parshu Pantha and assisted by Nikesh and Niraj (the two much needed, and appreciated, porters!) The trip was tailored exactly to our needs, and everything was taken care of so that we could focus on enjoying the experience; we didn't need to concern ourselves with whether we would have accommodation for the night, enough money for food etc. because it was all taken care of by the team in advance (they even provided us with fresh fruit everyday, which they carried up the mountain with them!) We also learnt a lot about the culture, history, and language of Nepal from the team, and they even taught us a song or two. I would highly recommend these guys - a great experience!

I recently had the incredible experience of completing the Annapurna Base Camp trek with Adventure Pilgrims Trekking, and I couldn't be happier with the journey! Our adventure began in Pokhara, a charming city nestled in the foothills of the Annapurna range. From there, we embarked on the Annapurna Century trek, and it was truly mesmerizing. The landscapes were a perfect blend of picturesque views—cascading waterfalls, quaint villages, terraced farmlands, and lush rhododendron forests.

Every step of the way, we were treated to awe-inspiring views of the majestic Mt. Annapurna, standing tall at 8,091 meters, as well as the magnificent Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Manaslu (8,163m). Reaching the Annapurna Base Camp (4,200m), also known as Annapurna Sanctuary, was an unforgettable experience. The tranquility of the high glacial basin surrounded by soaring peaks above 7,000 meters made all the effort worthwhile.

Adventure Pilgrims Trekking made the entire trek seamless and enjoyable. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, always ensuring we were comfortable and well-prepared for each day's challenges. The highlight of the trek for me was passing through the vibrant rhododendron forests—Nepal's national flower was in full bloom, adding a splash of color to our journey through the thick bamboo and rhododendron trails.

The cultural experiences, the stunning natural beauty, and the excellent service provided by Adventure Pilgrims Trekking made this trek a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to explore the wonders of the Annapurna region. This trek is popular for a reason, and with Adventure Pilgrims Trekking, it's an experience you'll never forget!
