Adventure Pilgrims Trekking combined the trip to Tamang Heritage Village, cultural and Langtang Valley Trekking. The Tamang Heritage Langtang Trekking is one of the newly opened treks which combines an enchanting journey where you can enjoy the magnificent mountain views mixed with the tradition, culture and affection where people can feel as their home in Nepal while doing this trek.Tamang heritage is full of beautiful mountain view with the green meadow and rhodendorn forest in its nature.
Trekking through Tamang village helps to geat near to the lifestyle of tamang ethinics as if you are one of them.on the trek we will be able to find different style of carving and crafts and the activities and lifestyle of people living in these region.
Tamang Heritage Trek presents the dramatic views of Langtang Lirung (7245m), Langtang Kerung, Chumse Danda ridge (5122m), Dorje Lakpa (6989m), Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal, Paldor peak, Shringi Himal, Manaslu and Sanjen Himal ranges. Glaciers of varying sizes and high altitude lakes namely Gosiakunda, Pravatikuda, Bhairavkunda and Dudhkunda are found along the Tamang Heritage trek.as with many fastinating views you will love to be around as if you are a local on the place due to the great respect and affection people greet you with.
We continue the Tamang Heritage Trekking to Langtang valley trekking, which will give you the panoramic view of Himalayas,the slow changing altitude changing its environment with the local peoples culture and endangerous spices as red panda.
Detail Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrive at Kathmandu, Upon arrival at international airport meet assist and transfer to the Hotel (star category, very nice and centrally located at Thamel), take rest and free at afternoon.
Day 02 : Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing pre- Treks (1350m) Our Tour Guide led you explore around Kathmandu valley for the sight seen. Have explore historical and spiritual attractions; including the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square; the House of Living Goddess "Kumari" and Kasthamandup temple" Said that was built from single tree in 16th century, Big bell-Big drams, Erotic carving in old temple, old palace etc., Bouddhanath; one of the largest Stupas in Nepal, Swayambhunath; situated on top of the hill knows as the Monkey Temple is one of the oldest Buddhist Stupa in the world, which has been registered in UNICECO heritage side. Pasupatinath; Hindus holy place, Sadhus and pilgrims bathing at occasionally, funeral pyres burning on the Ghats, located on the holy Bagmati river. Finally we have sightseeing beautiful Patan Durbar squares; the Krisna Temple has build just by stone with incredible crafts, Patan king's palace, Golden temple and much more. It is very famous for woodcarving, Metal works, Temples and Monasteries. If we have time there are still more remark site; the one of the oldest cities in Kathmandu valley "Bhaktapur" is known as Living Museum. Where, old brick paved enclave of old Royal palace, Nyathapola Temple, Datatriya temple exquisite artwork offers a picture of the grandeur of medieval Nepal. After these activates back to hotel and pre- prier for the treks. Stay overnight at hotel. Please, check your insurance details and have a copy of your travel medical insurance policy with you.
Day 03 : Drive Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1440m) -7 to 8 hours Our Guide and Potter come to in your hotel at 6:00 am. Then we head north out of Kathmandu to Syabru Besi about 7/8 hours scenic driving by bus or Land cruiser (depending on group size). The scenery of foothills and Ridgeline vistas to Syabru Besi goes through the Trishuli Bazaar, Betrawati and Dhunche you feel as if you are heading towards deep land. While passing along the road at the bank of Trishuli River you catch a glimpse of Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills. Behind Trisuli Bazaar the road is tricky because of the grubby road. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 04 : Trek Syabrubesi to Gatlang (4 to 5) hours This is our first day of trekking. So we are heading exciting mode to the Gatlang. About an hour and half of ascent from Syabrubesi we reach the view point from where we can see the fantastic view of Ganesh Himal, Gosaikunda range and the Goljang valley, then we head down to Goljang valley for the Lunch which is an hour walking down hill. We get in beautiful Gatlang Tamang village is another 3 hrs walk from Goljang. Upon arrival at the guests will be welcomed by Khada (white scarfs) and the home made local drinks Rakshi accompanied by the welcome song in local language. Get refreshed walk around and enjoy the local Syabru dance. Stay overnight at the community lodge.
Day 05 : Trek Gatlang to Tatopani (6 to 7) hours This would be one of the longest days of the entire trip and will take about 6/7 hours. The trekking trail begins by descending to Thangbuchet (near Chilime village) by the Bhotekoshi River. Probably, we will top for the lunch here. The Chilime Hydropower dam made beautiful tranquil lake here. After lunch the trail will ascending up crossing the hanging bridge then ascend continues until you get to Tatopani which literally means 'hot water', you can cleanse yourself in natural hot springs with bathing areas in the lap of the mountains. People believe that the waters have a healing quality that eases away your aches and pains. We stay overnight stay at local tea house.
Day 06 : Trek Tatopani to Thuman (5 to 6) hours After breakfast the trail ascends to Nagthali Danda (3300m) the high open grassland with amazing views of snow covered Himalayas. We will top for lunch at Brimdang village then the trek continues ascending to Nagthali Danda. We are enjoying the view and spend some time at the top accompanied by tea prepared by the care taker of the Gompa. Again we continue down to Thuman, Tibetan influenced Tamang village with friendly people who love to sing and dance. We will stay overnight at local tea house.
Day 07 : Trek Thuman to Briddim (5 to 6) hours Today, the trail begins with flatter in the beginning and descends to Timure en route to the old trade route to Tibet. We will be stop here for the lunch. The famous Rasuwaghadi (Nepal-Tibet boarder) is just 3hrs walk from Timure lies on the bank of River. After lunch the trail continues for another Tibetan influenced Tamang village Briddim for a unique home stay experience. All accommodations, lodgings and Fooding are offered at the individual houses on a rotational basis. Each host of family provides clean bed, toilet and a family dining room. At the evening the visitor enjoys with the host family, living with them, eating traditional foods and sleeping at their usual clean bed. Plain rice, Tibetan bread, Syakpa (Sherpa Stew), Potato, Tibetan tea, Briddim wine indigenous food offered. In addition, you have great chance to observe the local indoor rituals and cultural practices, lifestyle, traditions and customs of the people. The locals gather in the evening in their traditional costume, performing cultural songs and dances, welcoming the visitors. The host family guides the visitor, explaining the special features of the village, showing the live craftsmanship.
Day 08 : Trek Briddim to Lama Hotel ( 5 to 6 ) hours After breakfast, the trail leads us through the forest and hill terrace Tamang unique settlement to the Lama hotel. Some time we will encounter wild boar and Longur (monkey). On the huge rock we can see wild beehive stacking. People of here collecting honey from here using their indigenous knowledge. We will get in Lama Hotel after 5/6 hour walking. We will stay overnight at Tea House lodge.
Day 09 : Trek Lama Hotel to Langtang (3,430m) -5 to 6 hours Today, at the beginning the trail climbs up towards a steep forest slope to the Langtang River. The trail follows Gumanechok, Ghoda Tabela literally it means the Horse Stable. After this the trail is slightly gradual and beautiful in the valley with the grazing Yaks. After sometime descends into a valley, the trail cross a stream and climbs past several water-driven prayer wheels to the large settlement of Langtang. This is one of the old villages along this trekking route and the view from here is more spectacular as we get closer to mountain. Rest of the day we walk around village and stay overnight Guest house.
Day 10 : Trek Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m) -3 to 4 hours The trail leads us through the tiny village, stone-built houses and climb to a Chorten and passed a huge Mani along a gentle path of a hill. We have chance to test cheese and curd by Yak milk, it is remarkable of this place. This is a shorter walk but enough for acclimatization. The surroundings are interesting also because of the famous Cheese factory. This beautiful valley is in the lap of the Langtang Lirung and others around us. This is a good place to explore local culture similar as Tibetan which has been dragging from centuries.
Day 11 : Explore Day in Kyanjing Gumba Today is a day to rest and explore around. We visit the monastery and the cheese factory or may walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350m) and Tserko Ri (5,000m), which is highest point of this trek, directly behind the village, for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang Lirung, Langtang range, Kinshung, Yansa Tsenji and the foot of the huge Lirung Glacier. Descend to guesthouse for overnight.
Day 12 : Trek Kyanjin Gompa to Langtang (3,430m) -3 hours After late wake up, we have hot breakfast with observing surrounding genetic snowy capped mountains breathtaking view. All the way downhill but you will see fantastic views of towering mountain what you have missed on the way up. Still if you can visit glacier after 2 hours walk. Or come back to Langtang and enjoy rest of the day around village and mountains beauties.
Day 13 : Trek Langtang Village to Bamboo Lodge (1960m) -4 to 5 hours After breakfast the trail retrace downhill to the Bamboo Lodge through the some ancient Tamang settlement with fantastic views of towering mountain and some wildlife and pine and Junipers forests. It is still enjoyable trail even retrace. We stay overnight at Lama Hotel.
Day 14 : Trek Bamboo to Syabrubesi (1440m) -4 to 5 hours Today also we retrace all the way to Sybrubesi about 4 to 5 hours. For variation we will follow the so called 'high'-route back to Syarubesi. This trail splits of the route we took upwards shortly after leaving Lama Hotel. The route goes to the small village of Syarpagaon, and continues onto Bhanjyanggaon and Khangjung before descending back to Syabrubesi. This was the primary route to Langtang before the new trail (which we followed on our way up) was build (6 hrs).
Day 15 : Drive Syabrubesi to Kathmandu -7 to 8 hours We will be ready at 6:00 morning in hotel lobby with having your breakfast or advice as your trekking guide or you're wise. We will drive back to Kathmandu through the road passing terraces, streams, rivers, local settlements, high hills and along the Trishuli river side. It takes about 7 to 8 hours (conditional) to reach your hotel in Kathmandu by bus/ private car.
Day 16 : Farewell friend day in Kathmandu (1,350m) In this pleasant day you may have full day at leisure either relax at hotel or explore the around Thamel. Today is day of ending your journey, so we would like offer you farewell dinner in Nepali typical Restaurant and hand over you Trip Certificate, Trekking Permit and TIMS Card for memory of Nepal trip.
Day 17 : final Departure to your Destination Today is free or last minute shopping for souvenirs or gift to your family, friends or relatives for you until departure flight/drive. Our assist will be transfer to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination.
